Open all year round! The magnificent collection of over 42,000 plants from temperate regions around the world grows in a variety of superb themed landscapes set over 180 acres. Excellent restaurant and Summer Tea Rooms. All ability paths. Mobility scooters available for hire (advance booking advised).

New all-ability children’s play features include a stunning Tree House, flying carpet swing and extended bamboo tunnels.

Just some of our Gardens highlights:

In Spring, explore the exciting Children's Education Garden where you can pond-dip to discover newts and frogs. Visit Spring Walk for dazzling displays of Magnolias, Japanese flowering cherries, and Rhododendrons and Azaleas.
In Summer, enjoy wild flowers in the meadows, pastel shades of Hydrangea Walk and herbaceous colour along our 220 metre long Centenary Border.
In Autumn, the Gardens are ablaze with Autumn colours, and fruits and berries.

In Winter, visit the largest Winter Garden of its kind in Europe – with breathtaking fragrance from the winter flowering shrubs.

Events
Free events for children every Bank Holiday and mid-week during August.

From 22 May to 31 October, follow the 'Art in the Garden' exhibition trail (and fun family sculpture hunts) featuring over 100 sculptures.

Events, exhibitions and workshops are held all year round for all ages and interests and make ideal gifts. Workshops include falconry, photography, botanical illustration, gardening, batik and textile art.
